Highly recommend. - I originally bough the fi-6130 about 14 years ago. I've run entire libraries through the thing where I would cut up all my books and turned them into PDF's. Extensive use does not begin to describe the torture I put that machine through. It finally gave up the ghost and I replaced the rollers on it about a month ago, but when I took it apart, I didn't realize how careful you have to be with the timing belt and I stretched it. The replacement timing belt on the 6130 was $80, so it would have cost me another whole day of taking it apart again, putting in the new belt and putting it all back together again. Also - I broke a couple of tabs when I took it apart and had to jb weld some of it back together, so I gave up and bought this instead. This thing is amazing. I love it. I absolutely cannot believe how fast it is. I had a box of pictures that have been around for 4 generations of family. When I was done, I had run 15,000 pictures through it in amazing clarity. I have nothing to say but good stuff about this machine so far and it looks to be the same or better build quality than the 6130 I had for years. Looking forward to a long relationship with it. Review: Fast and reliable - This is the third scanner I've purchased because this little baby is just that good. In fact, it's better than our office's 5-foot tall scanner. It's very fast, scans front and back and is plug and play. It also rarely jams. More than worth the money.
