Review: Well recommended - a lovely inexpensive wireless keyboard & mouse combo! - Bought this set for my Raspberry Pi (plug and play, no messing with drivers required!), although now using it for my main PC, really nice keyboard and mouse combo, just needs one spare USB slot for the tiny wireless USB dongle (which can be found in the mouse's battery compartment). The black version looks really nice and matches my black monitor well. I should mention I think I have a slightly different design to the one on the desertcart page as of Dec 2016 (I bought mine in April). The keyboard is thin, lightweight and has the bonus of a numpad, while being nice and compact, the 2xAAA batteries required for the keyboard will last months and months and months, I'm still on my original set of batteries! The mouse however, is more demanding on power, I've had to change the 2xAAAs twice in 9 months, so not bad as far as I'm concerned, particularly I was for a long time dubious of wireless keyboards and mice, but extremely happy being wire-free now! The mouse works great even just on my less-than-ideal desktop as well as my trouser leg when playing those intense games of Fallout :) The mouse's LED will indicate when the battery requires changing, though it gives plenty of time (i.e days) fair warning, so don't worry about being caught short. That said, always keep a spare pack of fresh Duracell AAAs handy just in case. If I can air just one slight wish it is for the function keys (F1-F12) to have some separation (like traditional keyboards), although I am of course nit-picking, this is a compact design keyboard, so I understand completely that the function keys are the way they are. Review: A great keyboard and mouse combo. - This keyboard and mouse combo arrived in frustration-free packaging. The keyboard: - Light and compact - Runs on single AAA battery - Subjectively more comfortable angle when keyboard feet are used - Multimedia buttons on top row - Keys have a gentle roughness which makes provides a different feel - Homing bars present on F and J keys - Keyboard is quite quiet in operation - Rapidly responsive with no lag when typing - Does not appear to go into power saving mode The Mouse: - Operates on a single AA battery - Within the battery compartment is the USB dongle for connecting to computer - Is a simple no-frills compact optical mouse with two buttons and scroll wheel - Same feel as keyboard so nice grip - Is comfortable in a "medium" sized hand but may feel too small for a "large" hand - Seems to go into battery saving mode with reactivation by clicking one of the buttons Overall, this is a great keyboard and mouse combo for a very reasonable price and a reputable brand.
