The Imposter is a strategy and bluff game for 4 to 6 players. In this word matching game, try to unmask the player who doesn't know the secret word! From 4 to 6 players Approximately 15 min. In the game The Impostor, all players know a secret word except one: he is now the Impostor, and must try to guess this word based on the clues provided by other players... without being unmasked! At the beginning of each round, players receive a card indicating the secret word, except the Impostor who receives no indication. In three rounds, players exchange clues related to the secret word. After three rounds, a vote is held to identify the Impostor. If the Imposter is not identified, he wins the round; if he is identified but guesses the secret word, he can still win. Players win by correctly identifying the Impostor. If the Imposter escapes detection after three rounds of play or guesses the secret word once unmasked, he wins the round. The game can be adapted with a point system for more competition.
