Dune Imperium uses deckbuilding to add a clever mechanic of hidden information to the traditional worker placement. They start with a guide card and an identical deck for all players. As you acquire new cards and shape your deck, your choices will define your strengths and weaknesses. With these cards, you can send your agents to the different locations of the game board, so your strategy is influenced by the development of your deck. You can become a military force capable of deploying more troops than your opponents, or you can acquire cards that open the doors of the four political factions represented in the game: Emperor, Space Guild, Order of Bene Gesserit and, of course, the Foreigners.
