Ages 8+ King of Tokyo: Origins is an independent game in the King of Tokyo series, intended primarily as an entry point for new players as it is a more compact version of King of Tokyo. The game includes four new monsters, an assortment of new power cards, mixed with old, energy dice and green dice to yellow inlays. In King of Tokyo: Origins, you embody mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and other monstrous creatures who will fight in a cheerful atmosphere, with the sole goal of becoming the only king of Tokyo. The gameplay remains the same as in the original game: to win, you have to be the first to score 20 victory points, or be the only creature still standing. In each round, you throw six dice with the following six symbols: 1, 2 or 3 points, energy, care and attack. In three consecutive throws, you choose to keep or drop each cube to earn points, collect energy, restore life points or attack other players. If you attack when you are outside of Tokyo, meet the one in Tokyo; when you are in Tokyo, meet all the other players! When a player's health drops to 0, he's out of play. (You can't heal the damage when you're in Tokyo, and the only way to leave the city is by being attacked by someone...which can protect you from death). But the interest in Tokyo is that you automatically win victory points there when you start your round in the city. When you gain energy, store them in cubes that allow you to buy kraft cards that have a lasting or temporary effect. The first player to reach 20 victory points or stay alive alone is declared the King of Tokyo. Are you ready to claim the city?
