When months pass without any other account than rumors that crew and wildlife are obsessed with strange parasites, a rescue mission is dispatched to find Tarkovsky, but they don't come back either. Adventure-loving war heroes fund their own expeditions to Siberia, hoping to find artifacts, master challenges, and eventually achieve fame. They borrow mechs designed for exploration and head to the base camp to undertake their travels.
