The game begins with the distribution of Castle and Village cards, and each player receives 2 keys and 15 gold coins. Each turn, you then recruit a character and strategically place it in your board, making the best use of available resources: gold to pay for characters and keys to influence the Messenger pawn. The recruited card immediately triggers its effect, influencing the strategy and decisions of other players. The effects of the cards vary, some allowing for additional resources, others offering permanent discounts on the cost of future characters. So choose your characters wisely to optimize your board and maximize your victory points at the end of the game! The game ends after 9 rounds, when each player has completed their 9-card board. The final score is then calculated by adding the points of each card according to the conditions indicated, and the remaining keys add additional points.
