The twisted pair test:
Turn on the power, plug the network cable into the main r and the remote r respectively.
If the wiring is normal, the indicator lights of the main r and the remote r will display the same in sequence:
Main r: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote r: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G (RJ45)
1-2-3-4-5-6 ------(RJ12)
1-2-3-4 ----------(RJ11)
If the wiring is not normal, it is displayed as follows:
For example, if one cable, cable NO.2 is open-circuited, the NO.2 lights of the main r and remote r will not turn on.
If several cables are open-circuited, several lights will not turn on respectively. If less than two cables are connected, none of the lights is on.
If two ends of a cable are disordered, for example, NO. 3 and NO. 5, then displays on:
Main r: 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-G
Remote r: 1-2-5-4-3-6-7-8-G
If two cables are short-circuited, neither of the corresponding lights is on of the remote r, if three cables are short-circuited, none of the corresponding lights is on, while the main r remains unchanged.
Note:
9V battery (not included) is used in this r. The battery is advised to change if any weak light appears.
