Despite its compact, lightweight body, this compact digital camera is particularly robust. It is waterproof up to a depth of 14 metres, shockproof when dropped from a height of 1.6 metres and frost-proof at temperatures down to -10°C. This ensures excellent reliability and functionality even in harsh conditions where ordinary compact cameras and smartphones are often unusable. It is equipped with an outdoor friendly monitor that quickly optimizes image brightness to improve the visibility of a scene in bright outdoor areas. In addition, it features the digital microscope mode developed by PENTAX, which allows the user to capture clear, vivid images of a microscopic world that are usually barely visible to the naked eye. This model can be used for a variety of scenes and subjects, from occasional snapshots to outdoor and underwater shots and even for special commercial applications, e.g. on construction sites.
