I put them in vases, filled with gel water, beads and some foam flowers plus water. When I placed the LED balls into the vases, I tried to point the light downward. Otherwise I think they could have been irritating if directed in anyone’s eyes. The LED lights were a vibrant colorful blue, long lasting (some were still glowing almost 2 weeks later!), and potentially reusable. One picture I’m sharing shows the LED lights on after I drained a lot of the water from the vases. If you save the pull tabs from the LED balls, you may be able to re-insert them afterwards. I’m sharing a picture of ones where I did that. You can see the lights are off.
