My first order was a set of their columns and chains and my four year old loved making bridges out of them. So when I saw this set contained more columns as well as base plates for building up, I knew it would be perfect for him. These work great with Legos and the best part is you can build off the edges extending the base length/width, underneath, and of course on top. Regular Legos connect just fine on the tops and bottoms of the 5x5 plates but only the included pegs fit in the holes on the sides. I like that they included a lot of pegs, although this set is so sturdy that only a few were needed to connect two squares securely together. My son loved building parking garages out of these as well as bridges, as shown in my photos. They snap together very easily and are very sturdy. He was able to build a 10x5 three story parking garage with a 10x5 bridge off the side. I couldn’t get him to use more columns and was concerned it would collapse especially with how rough he plays. However even with each level only having 4 columns each, it was very sturdy and held up great, even when filled with hot wheels. The columns were wide enough that it it was able to stand on its own, however we connected it on top of a Lego brand base plate. My son’s having so much fun with these blocks. They really open up so many new avenues to create and build. And the quality is excellent. Even in a little boy’s rough hands, not a single piece from either set has broken. Whether it’s for a child or an adult I would definitely recommend this company’s blocks, especially this set.
