Review: Fast and worked immediately! - This adapter is FAST! I am
upgrading my home network to 2.5G and I have some computers that
don't have 2.5G network adapters, including a very nice Dell
laptop. Although TP-Link doesn't say what network chipset they
use, the specs say it is supported by windows 11 without having
to download any drivers so when I got it I just plugged it in
right away. As advertised, the computer recognized the adapter
and connected at the full 2.5G speed! It's always nice to see a
piece of tech work as advertised. I also found the device looks
and feels very robust, high end. It has enough weight to it that
it feels like it's solid construction and won't break if I put it
into a laptop case and travel with it, and it looks nice enough
that it's not out of place on an office desk. I do wish TP-Link
would include the actual adapter chipset in the specifications,
because not everyone looking for a network adapter is running
windows so they'd need to know the chipset to verify
compatibility. But that's a TP-Link marketing fail, not a problem
with the adapter itself. It worked right away, and looks nice
too. Recommended!
