It was extremely easy, direct fit to the standard outlet box. Only two wires, its all plastic. Then the light itself locks into the base. It was sooo simple I assumed I messed up. And WOW is it bright - again I was surprised. The real irony is how it feels. It feels solid - being plastic and cheap I assumed it was cheap quality, AGAIN I WAS SURPRISED. I would buy this again without second thought.
