They are thicker than some other, more expensive base plates, and they're very compatible with other brands. I would absolutely recommend this product! Review: Duplo compatible - We've purchased knockoffs in the past that claim to be compatible with lego or duplo but haven't been. So far this baseplate works with all our duplo pieces. In the pictures the green plate is LEGO brand. The white plate is Strictly Briks. I've never purchased this brand before. I do wish the heights matched but that's minor. It does match the height of the small duplo plates (blue in the picture). It has a good amount of flex, like the lego/duplo brand. It's much more affordable. I definitely recommend this product.
