The discovery of the stunning Amethynia Valley has opened up a world full of new possibilities for the paths. The hallmark of the valley, the enigmatic cracking technology, allows an object to be present in two places at once - and when used in their exosuits, the paths can virtually double their efficiency. The process is not entirely stable, but fortunately, some inhabitants of the valley are willing to join the paths as machinists to defuse the dangers of so-called "blinking." As the age of mass exodus and the formation of the path of unity have slowed preparations for the dreaded impact, the added efficiency gained by cracking technology is now needed more than ever.
