Review: He makes my life better - I bought several weighted
stuffed animals for myself and my grandchildren this Christmas,
but I bought this alligator for me - not them. Pros: If you like
super plushy fur, then this is the best for that. Sometimes this
type of fabric has a direction to it where it feels great petting
it on one direction but not the other. Not the case with this
guy. Anyway you pet it, it feels amazing. Also his shape is very
nice, easy to hug. Great weight for its size. Also, his hands and
feet are the right size for holding with my arthritis, it helps.
Love the fact that he has embroidered eyes so there is nothing
hard on him at all. Also his price is a great factor too. He
holds his own with weighted stuffed animals almost twice the cost
of him. His shape is unique to this market making him a must have
— keeping in mind this is coming from someone who thinks more
than one is necessary. The goal of most of these is to simulate a
big hug. Sometimes that is what you need. But this guy shines
when you’re in a more frustrated sulky, pouty mood and you want
to sit on the couch and cross your arms over your middle section
holding a pillow? That is where this guy shines. Allgernon as
he’s called is the best for that. Cons: The weight is all in one
spot in his stomach. I don’t think it needs more weight, but I
would have liked it to be better distributed. I will likely end
up taking him apart and making some pouches to put some of beads
in his hands, feet, and head. That being said, I read the reviews
and knew that the weight wasn’t distributed but he was so cute, I
decided it would be worth it to adjust him. I still feel that
way, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. On a personal note I
think his shape is adorable but sometimes his tail gets in the
way and I bet the Husky version I almost got wouldn’t have that
problem. I don’t think that one has the same type of plush fabric
the alligator does, and the plush is more important so I think I
still got the right one for me. And he is cute enough to make up
for it. For right now, as unaltered, it is so relaxing to just
close your eyes set him on your lap so his head is over your
shoulder and just run your hands over his fur for like 5 minutes
and let the calm take you away. I’m 54 and neurodivergent and
this is works for me. He sleeps with me every night too as with
his weight in the stomach - as a side sleeper that is great for
my lower back and with another weight stuffy on the other side of
me, it keeps my spine from twisting in the night.
Review: Softness is over the top - I love it. Weighted just
right. High quality made. It is beautiful and cuddly. So soft to
touch. This was cheaper than some other not as well made or soft.
So worth the price.
