Just the right kind of fragrance for me. - I love fragrances, and aspire to own several, but after the pandemic and spending nearly 2 years not wearing anything (because why?), something strange changed in my olfactory receptors -- I got super sensitive to strong smells, especially the kind in most men's fragrances. Additionally, my skin seems to react more than most to a lot of elements in fragrances in that it might smell AMAZING but then changes entirely once I apply it. This leads to a lot of thrown-out samples. My scent hypersensitivity has prevented me from enjoying a couple of my very expensive colognes because they are too intense. I was a bit wary of getting this one "scent unsmelled" (vs sight unseen -- see what I did there) and tentatively spritzed some on my wrist. I was shocked! This is JUST within my area of tolerance, AND it smells great on me. It's strong enough that I can smell it on myself after some time, but it's not overwhelming. The leather comes forward paired with the citrus notes of the bergamot. I don't get a ton of patchouli which is great because that's not my favorite. This would be good for either men or women, but the profile leans more masculine but not "alpha macho" masculine like a lot of men's fragrances. Just enough. Anyway, for the price this is kind of a no brainer, it's very, very good. I recommend giving it a try.
