Review: Great little portable speaker - It's easy to pack around and has pretty good sound for such a little guy. Primary uses are music and audiobooks and the sound quality good enough that I'm satisfied. It's not Bose, but it sure ain't bad. I use it in the shop, out by the pool and when I'm gardening. Outdoors the sound travels a bit better if there is a wall or something solid behind the speaker. The loop makes it easy to carry or hang up and the 360⁰ sound means less fussing around with location and direction. Connected to my Android, playing on Spotify, I can crank it all the way up with no distortion or crackling. But, I only did that this one time, so I could note it in the review. It's pretty freaking loud. It's solid with a rubber cap on both the top and bottom. In case of a drop, those could be lifesavers. I've never tossed it in the water, so cannot attest to it's water resistance. It connects quickly and easily to any Bluetooth device and the buttons on top provide easy access to pairing, pause and power. It will power down if left unused for a few minutes to preserve the battery. That's a nice function. I'm not wild about the HUGE volume controls on the front. I think they're ugly and detract greatly from the overall appearance of the speaker. Overall, good value for the money. I turned it on and my house said, “Oh. We’re doing this now.” The bass showed up uninvited and started rearranging the furniture emotionally. The 360-degree sound is real. I walked in a circle around it like an idiot and the music followed me like a curse. I put it in the shower. Loud. I put it by the pool. Louder. I dropped it in the pool. It floated. Still yelling. I walked away from my phone. Then I walked farther. Then I forgot where my phone was. Music never stopped. This speaker is loyal to a fault and clearly doesn’t respect personal space. Battery lasts forever. Pairing takes half a second. Survives water, dust, and my playlist decisions. Five stars. If this thing gets any louder it’s going to start paying rent.
