Review: Sturdy and beautiful decorative lighted balls - I bought
a 16, 12, 8 and 6 inch ball. All of mine had a full charge so
they work right out of the box.. They are light, yet seem very
sturdy. They have a flat side so that it will sit easily on a
coffee table etc. The colors are bright and beautiful. There are
several options, flash, fade, etc, including hold at one color.
They all work as described. Each one comes with a remote and
charging plug. The smaller two have hooks that fit flat on the
bottom of the ball so if you prefer to hang them, you can easily
invert them and voila, for accents to hang from an eave, tree,
etc. The ad said they would float in a pool. I will use it in my
yard. You are limited only by your imagination. I plan to use the
smaller ones at Christmas for part of my decorations (two of the
colors are red and green). In short they are versatile, well made
and a fun way to decorate.
Review: Magnificent Huge High Quality Color Changing Globe - I
have been looking for a high quality color changing globe like
this since seeing one where we were staying in Lanzarote, one of
the Canary Islands. The difference is our host's globe was that
it was solar powered. I would like this globe even more if it
could be solar powered as well as with an electric charge. I
realize Lanzarote gets sun all the time which makes it more
adapted to solar powered lights. Loftek, please make these globes
solar powered as well. Then, it would deserve 6 stars. Before
buying, I spent a lot of time looking online for what appeared to
be the best quality globe and my research paid off. Loftek is
high quality. I have the 16" Globe which is huge and wonderful.
The charge time is less than 4 hours, but I didn't time it yet
and lasts throughout the night. The box, the globe in your hands,
the feel of the globe in your hands, the charging place on the
bottom with the orange protective covering to keep dirt out when
you're not charging all make you know it's a high quality
product. There is a professional looking booklet that comes with
it. When I first turned it on, it seemed to have a full charge,
which was fun, not having to wait for a charge to see what you
have. Then, I let it completely discharge, as advised to prolong
the battery life. One thing, I didn't see mentioned in the
directions is once the globe had gone off, I plugged it in and it
immediately came on. At first I left it charging like that, but
saw it was not going to charge like that or it was going to take
a long time. I then turned it off on the bottom of the globe. You
can also turn it off with the remote, but do this while charging.
Then, you'll know it's finished when the red light (charging) on
the charger turns to green. Everything works well as said! Now,
I'm thinking of getting a couple smaller ones.
