It is small and light, but puts out a bright beam that is more than enough for walking outside at night. The light pattern is square instead of round, which looks a little different than a traditional flashlight, but it does not affect how usable it is for me. In terms of battery life, I switched to brand name batteries when I got it and have used it for 3-4 hours since and its still as bright as new. I do have some older LED flashlights that went through batteries very quickly when stored, this one does not. 👍Pros - Bright beam for a small, inexpensive light. - Compact and easy to carry or store. - At least 3 to 4 hours of usable battery life in my experience. - AAA batteries included, but I did not use. 👎Cons - Light pattern is square, not round, which may look odd if you expect a traditional flashlight. That said, this is way better than a traditional flashlight. Overall, I think this is a very good value for a cheap, compact flashlight and I would buy it again.
