For optimal cooling performance, the MB720MK-B V2 is equipped with two fans on the back to dissipate the heat generated by the extremely fast PCIe 4.0 SSD. In addition, each slot/tray has an extra-large heat sink lid and a thermal pad to ensure an optimal temperature of the SSDs. As part of ICY DOCK's most robust range, the MB720MK-B V2 is constructed from a full metal construction with metal locks for maximum protection. A typical M.2 SSD is installed on the motherboard or adapter card, which is often secured with tiny screws and requires opening the computer case to access the drives. With the ToughArmor MB720MK-B V2, your M.2 NVMe SSDs are relocated to the optical 5.25" bay of the computer system, so you can change the SSDs without having to open the case, making the maintenance of the SSDs more efficient and easier. To install the SSD, simply insert the M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD into the drive slot, adjust the M.2 lock to the correct SSD length, and you're ready to go. No tools or screws are required. The M.2 adjustable latch accommodates all standard M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs including 2230 (30mm), 2242 (42mm), 2260 (60mm), 2280 (80mm) and 22110 (110mm).
