Review: The perfect lights for your ceiling - I recently
installed the Govee 6-inch recessed lights in my home, and I am
absolutely blown away by them. The entire experience, from
unboxing to the final setup, was incredibly straightforward. The
installation process was far simpler than I anticipated. The
lights are designed with a snap-in connector, which meant I
didn't have to deal with any complicated wiring. I simply
connected the provided wire nuts to my existing wiring, then
plugged the light fixture directly into the junction box. The
entire process for each light took me less than ten minutes. The
lights also come with strong spring clips that hold them securely
in the ceiling without any wobbling. Once the lights were in, the
real fun began. The Govee app makes controlling the lights
effortless. I can easily adjust the brightness, color
temperature, and choose from a seemingly endless array of colors.
The lights are also incredibly vibrant and can be dimmed to a
very low level without any flickering, which is perfect for
creating a cozy atmosphere. I also love the different dynamic
scene modes that cycle through colors, making it easy to set the
mood for a party or just add a little excitement to a room.
Overall, I can't recommend these lights enough. If you're looking
for a simple, effective, and feature-rich way to upgrade your
home's lighting, these Govee recessed lights are the perfect
solution.
Review: Good quality recessed lighting - I was looking at the
local hardware stores for some recessed lighting options, and
everything was just so mundane and boring. Then I thought about
Govee and all the other Govee LEDs I already had at home and
wondered if they had any recessed lighting options, and they sure
did. And actually the same or slightly cheaper than the ones at
the store. And obviously being Govee, I knew they would have a
lot more flexibility and options. The install was easy, they give
you everything you need, even push in wire connectors, although I
used my own Wago connectors. I bought a 6 + 3/8” recessed
lighting hole saw kit for the ceiling, and while it did work, I
would say that you should probably just use a 6” one because the
one that I used made the holes a bit too big and the Govee lights
barely cover the whole thing. Of course the Govee app is great.
The brightness is good if you use the illumination mode, and you
can choose the Kelvin of the white. Also never had any issues
using Google Voice commands with Govee products either. Overall,
a great idea for recessed lighting if you’re bored of the same
old stuff from your local hardware store.
