It is a very compact size and scans big documents very quickly. It is easy to use. It has a great facility that it works out if pages are single sided or double sided, which saves a huge amount of time. There is no need to turn pages over and put any pages through twice. The documents whizz through the scanner and produce a full copy on the computer. I have just retired and needed to scan all my business documents to be archived. We managed to scan four large boxes in a day. My husband set up the technology side of things and he said it was straight forward if you know what you are doing. I appreciate the other reviews about the IT set up and, if you are not an IT savvy person, I suggest getting some help to set up. For speedy scanning of large documents I would highly recommend this product. It is also very neat and small to store away afterwards. Review: Excellent scanner for documents only - This scanner is an excellent machine but it is badly served by its software. Initially it seemed impossible to install, but this was solved by turning off the AVG antivirus. The supplied software is suitable only for document scanning - which it does rapidly and effectively - and is useless for photo scanning, as it only works in monochrome and has no means of dealing with indiviual images. Snapscan, available for the Fujitsu site, is the preferred software for this task, but turns out to be compatible with a very limited range of scanners - and this machine isn't one of these. Returned and a compatible machine purchased.
