Fostex TH610 Wired Headphone

Fostex’s Model TH610 is the successor to model TH600, and is the entry level model in the TH series reference line, together with the TH900mk2 and TH909.

The TH610 features beautiful matte lacquer finished, full-grain, black walnut cup housings. These solid wood cup housing not only enhance the stunning looks of this headphone but also add beneficial acoustic properties to the cup chamber. Each cup uses a low repulsion cushion earpad covered with high-grade artificial soft leather, offering a highly comfortable fit and a high level of sound isolation.

Each cup holds the reputed proprietary Fostex ‘bio-dyna’ free edge 50mm diaphragm, driven by a very powerful 1 tesla (1,000 gauss) magnetic circuit, for a superbly wide dynamic range with low distortion, rich lows, natural mid-range and smooth high frequency characteristics. Employing a substantial amount of aluminium and magnesium in the construction adds to the luxurious feel and reduces the weight. The baffle board uses a special resin to help reduce unwanted resonance for reference level, high resolution sound.

The detachable headphone cable is covered in a fabric weave and features "Hi-FC" internal wiring providing superior conductivity for a clear sound throughout the entire frequency ranges. A hard, wear and corrosion resistant, rhodium plating is applied to the 2-pin headphone connector as well as in the cup terminal to ensure reliability and long-life.
