It is a model kit and a joy to put together. You do not need any tools, specialty equipment, or a talent for model making to finish it. Each piece comes off its host sprue very easily and they are all clearly labelled making it easy for younger collectors. The complication does suggest children should be supervised. The colors are great, already painted so there is nothing to do but put it together! For a model, it is very articulate and poses easily. The light up mechanism is good, but is also my only complaint. I'll speak to that at the end. The model is as large as your hand, but the details, painting applications, small intricacies, and love that Blokees puts into their models is on display with such a little guy. I went wild and purchased a lot of them, I have a pile nearby that I want to keep assembling. This is the first one I put together and am now excited to do more. Now, my one complaint. The light up feature works really well in the monocular eye. It shines as you expect it too and all you need to do to activate it is shake it. Perfect. No notes. Beautiful execution. The problem; it probably sat on the shelf too long and the battery was weak, on top of that it uses one LED that points up making the eyes shine well but the chest barely lights up because of how LED's operate. Good idea, but needed a diffuser and a second LED. Now, a real complaint; it's not easy to replace the battery after it's assembled. You need a part seperator and patience. If not you will stress the chest pieces and details. It's assembled so well that disassembly for battery replacement is not built into its design. But, that complaint does not reduce the quality at all. In fact, I don't care and I'll be happy to just leave it off as it looks amazing without lights.
