The OEM panel only has nighttime illumination for the driver’s window and it’s a barely noticeable sliver of light. Some people’s counter argument is that they can easily tell by feel in the dark but for me the window switches are always located further back than my hand expects. I had just done an aftermarket speaker/amp install so I had become comfortable with removing trim pieces. All you need to do is pry up the window switch and it then removes very easily with minimal risk of broken trim tabs. The swap can be completed in literally 2-3 minutes. The harness plugs fit perfectly and the screw holes align without any drama. Functionally, all the buttons are illuminated at night. There is a noticeable blueish hue — this does not match the illumination for the side mirror control switch. This does not bother me given the price paid and the significant gain in functionality. All four window switches have auto up/down functionality. The feel of the switches is a bit tighter and surprisingly more precise and substantial than the OEM switches which always felt very flimsy and light. This was surprising to me because I expected the haptic feel to be toylike given the price and random gobbledygook brand name. This represents a significant upgrade compared to the OEM master window switch and for the price is almost a no-brainer. Review: Screwdriver needed to disassemble old part. - Quick installation and even comes with a tool to remove the old part! Screwdriver still required but very quick process. Lights are dim but work perfectly during the night.
