The chair does need to be assembled, the instructions are clear and simple to follow although you might need large grip to take off the hydraulic cap. The chair itself is sturdy, comfortable, easy to adjustment position with smooth movements. It is quite heavy but most good quality desk/gaming chairs are. Great size as it offers head/neck support.
