I was looking for a replacement for my major-name-brand low-end headset since the earpads on my headset had fallen apart (again.) The earpads on the XOSDA earphones appear to be vastly superior to the name brand earpads which appear to be flimsy and certainly do deteriorate after not too much usage. (refer to photo for how the two types of earpads differ - the XOSDA's are the two "covered" earpads in the photo) But what about their functionality ? Well i use headphones in my daily online foreign language learning exercises. And these XOSDA headphones appear to be equal to the name brand headphones in every way that i can tell (except for the XOSDA earpads being superior.) Both sets of headphones have a trss-type 3.5mm headphone cable (a four connector Tip/Ring/Ring/Sleeve cable) which plugs into the standard laptop/chromebook jack. Both headsets provide a clear-sounding (and supposedly a noise-cancelling) connection which is suitable for online language learning. However, i do not have the ability to compare the two different models for purposes of listening to music since i do not use them for such purpose. (I imagine that an audiophile might find either or both lacking in rich highs and lows at such a reasonable price point but that is my mere speculation. However, i did listen to some videos named “Most Beautiful Music Ever” that i found online and found that even when played at their loudest settings the musical highs and lows seemed to come through quite nicely on the XOSDA’s.) Seldom am i so impressed; And it’s an awesome feeling. And remember - there are five headsets for a price not that much more than what i paid for a single major-name-brand low-end headset with inferior earpads. Mark me down as “blown away.”
