In the skilled hands of WayForward, the Yars range evolves into an extended puzzle adventure to be solved with 2D platform action. Slip into the role of young hacker Emi Kimura, who is hired by a mysterious customer to infiltrate the shady QoTech group. Race, jump, sneak and hack through challenges as you gradually uncover a complex web of mysteries and intrigue.

Over the course of her adventure, Emi's powers grow, allowing her to return to previously unattainable and secret areas. Their evolving hacking skills are essential in solving exciting mini-games reminiscent of the innovative game system of the Atari 2600 title Yars' Revenge.

The further Emi penetrates into QoTech facilities, the further the sci-fi mystery expands. A colorful group of hacker friends help Emi uncover her connection with a distant alien genus and develop forces she would never have dared to dream of.

Yars Rising celebrates the Yars range in their very own WayForward style of anime art, humor, retro game mechanics and virtuoso narrative art.
