Review: happy with purchase. - What can I say, its a good budget
all in one PC. it comes with everything you need, like a mouse
and keyboard. looks amazing, I was a little worried with some of
the feed back like the barcode in the middle of the screen but on
closer inspection its stuck to a screen protector so that came
off once I found the corner. the size is good, it fits nicely on
my desk and ya its very quiet. It feels and looks good quality
and connects to my WIFI quickly and the Bluetooth is fantastic,
no more dongles yay. the only bad thing is the size of the SSD
its so small its scarry how fast it fills so I did had to get an
external drive for it, I will fix that in time but right now its
just what I needed. Good speeds when logging in to windows and
going online.
Review: Buyers Please Be Aware !! - Buyer please be aware. This
computer, on the face of it appears a bargain, however, The unit
that I received was not updating Windows 11. I tried to carry out
a manual update only to find that updates had been inhibited, on
further investigation I found that the Windows 11 license applied
to the machine was a corporate one controlled by a server in
another country, this is against Microsoft policy and in the UK
against copyright law. As the PC appeared fairly decent, I
purchased a legitimate Windows License and attempted to apply it.
Long story short, when I eventually got the license mounted I
found that the Audio drivers would not work. After a Microsoft
engineer tried to remotely diagnose the issue we found that the
PC motherboard audio chip is not supported by the latest version
of Windows 11 and that the PC had originally shipped with a
version of windows 11 which is now end of life. It is obvious
that the mother board shipped as part of this PC was in fact out
of date and scrap. I returned the PC to desertcart and did get a
refund (thank you desertcart) however I'm out of pocket by £200
for the legitimate Windows 11 license I brought, which is my
fault so no way can I ask Microsoft for my money back. So please
take this review into consideration if you are considering
purchasing one of these PC's and if you have recently purchased
one check to see if the Windows updates work. I hope this helps
others to avoid this, what may be, a deeper dark issue.
