STEVE JACKSON GAMES Last Train to Bremen - Storytelling Card Game

Last Train to Bremen is a tragic storytelling tabletop game for four players about ambition, arrogance, and the price of a devil’s bargain. Thirteen years ago, four struggling musicians sold their souls for fame, fortune, and adoration. Like all such stories, it didn’t go as planned. Now the Devil is coming to collect, and the quartet is huddled in a rattling freight car, racing toward the one place they hope he cannot follow. Designed as a rules-light, game master–free narrative experience, this indie roleplaying game unfolds through accusation, confession, and revelation. Players take on the roles of the doomed bandmates, collaboratively building their shared history while pointing fingers and shifting blame for the disastrous pact that sealed their fate. Every secret exposed deepens the tension. Every story told reshapes the truth. Over the course of a single dramatic session, alliances fracture, egos clash, and the past comes roaring back. The mechanics focus on character-driven storytelling, emotional stakes, and meaningful choices rather than complex rules. As the train hurtles forward and time runs out, the group moves toward an inevitable finale where only one musician may survive to tell the tale. Perfect for fans of narrative RPGs, dark folklore, and tragic drama, Last Train to Bremen delivers high replayability through dynamic character interplay and evolving backstories. Gather your group, embrace the chaos, and discover who will bear the blame when the Devil finally arrives.
