The question of the day is, do they write well? First, the design. These pens are adorable. They come in a pack of four, and each pen has a different cat on them. I had to take the orange cat to Bible study tonight--we have an orange cat and although he can be a pain at times, he's a good friend. There are three other kinds of cats on the other three pens, but I'm not very good at telling cat breeds apart. Each pen also has little designs of paw prints and balls of yarn on them as well. The design is adorable. The clip of these pens is hinged, so it's unlikely to break with everyday use. The end of the pen closest to the writing end is enveloped with a soft, gel-like material, which might be tactically pleasing to some. They come with the tip covered in a gel-like substance to keep from drying out before you start using them, which is a nice touch. But the big question is--how does it write? They write very nicely. The ink comes out smoothly and doesn't splotch. It also dries quickly, so it doesn't smudge on your hands or on the paper when you turn the page. They're currently $6.99 for four pens, which is slightly more expensive than the Walmart pens I've found that write well, but these are a whole lot cuter. I definitely hope my kids don't swipe them or I lose them, because these are likely to quickly become my favorite pens. Review: Purrfect pens! - Oh how I love cats, and collecting pens. These are as functionally wonderful as they are adorable. The soft grips are even kind of squishy, creating a great tactile sensation and adding a perfect little fidgeting option during use via squeezing. The cat imagery is very well applied, no misshapen cats or features. The cats themselves are absolutely precious beyond words. Only two of them fit in my cat shaped pen holder, but I left the remaining two inside their box, because the box they come in is almost as cute as they are. There's a nib over the pen tips, of course, and they write beautifully and effortlessly. They may be standard pens, but they look and feel anything but. I enjoy using them for underlining key book lines I want to remember as I'm reading. I 100% highly recommend them across the board.
