Some pros: it is compatible with our other magnetic tile sets, the marbles are not a choking hazard for my 11 month old, it comes with some suggested ways to build yet it is open-ended. Some cons: it is a little wobbly during the process of building (more sturdy once put together), it only comes with 4 marbles, the pieces are a little hard for my toddler to click into place. The age suggestion is 3 years + and I would say that to put the pieces together independently it falls more towards the older side of 3. Overall a great product that I would definitely recommend for the builders in your life. Review: Great quality! Hours of fun! - I love this marble run set! I got it for my step daughter for Christmas, she is very heavy handed at times but this stuff it super durable, very good quality! The magnets could be stronger but you just need to use more pieces to make the structure sturdier. The parts that you have to clip together are very strong, I imagine smaller children having difficulties assembling and/or disassembling them. My heavy handed step daughter just rips them apart with all her strength and hasn't broken any pieces (...Yet!) - very durable! I have to say, for a 70 piece set, we seem to run out of pieces quite quickly, we immediately wanted to buy another set but it'll have to wait for next Christmas or birthday as it's not the cheapest thing, but you are paying for a very good quality set! If she doesn't want to make a whole marble run she'll just get out the magnetic tiles and make a "house" for her dolls or tiny plushies. It's very versatile, has many uses, gets kids' creativity flowing and provides hours of entertainment. Extremely happy with this purchase and highly likely that we'll be buying another set!
