It is the perfect size for a cup of tea. The infusion insert is of a sturdy mesh that does not allow loose tea leaves through, into the tea itself. I have used it a great deal and it had never failed nor led me to believe it to be fragile. I think one of my favorite features is that it is transparent. It allows you to see the darkness of the brewing tea so that you can take it off the heat once it hits the darkness/strength that is desired. The infusion insert also is made of quality material that does not show any signs of erosion or rusting. It allows me to leave my wet tea leaves inside, allowing them to air dry and able to be used again. Since real tea leaves can be used multiple times, and by this unit allowing me to leave them as is and reusable, it saves money on tea leaving and waste.
