Rummy has long been one of the most popular games in the world. The game of Rummy can be traced back to the Chinese game 'Khanhoo', which can be further traced back to the game of 'Conquian' which originated in Mexico the early 1800's. In the 19th century it crossed onto American soil, first through Texas and then to the American South West. At that point the game traversed the Atlantic to England, where it was given the name 'Rum', which is British slang for 'odd' or 'strange'! Eventually that evolved into the current name of Rummy. There are many variations of the game of Rummy, but all share similar gameplay. The basic goal is to build melds which consists of sets (3-4 of the same ranked card), or runs (3 or more cards in sequence of the same suit). This tile-based version of the classic card game will bring a whole new level of fun to your next Rummy game. Players take turns placing their tiles in runs and sets, with the aim to be the first to use up all their tiles to claim victory. Easy to learn and full of action, and you never know who will win until the very end!
