Outdoor Adventures doll—it’s been one of her favorite toys this
year! She loves the bright purple hiking outfit with the cute
shorts, sturdy boots, sunglasses, and visor that make Barbie look
ready for real outdoor fun. The little pet puppy is adorable, and
the included leash lets her “take him on trails” all over the
house, which sparks endless pretend play. What really stands out
is the generous set of more than 10 accessories: the backpack
(which actually holds everything!), walkie-talkie, camera, water
cup, snacks, and more—all perfectly sized for Barbie’s hands and
easy for small fingers to handle. The pieces feel solid and have
held up surprisingly well after weeks of daily play, with no
breakage or loose parts so far. Barbie doesn’t stand completely
on her own, but her articulation is good enough for fun posing
during adventures, and my niece doesn’t mind propping her up
against things. Compared to some other Barbie playsets we’ve
tried, this one feels more focused and imaginative because
everything ties perfectly into the camping/hiking theme,
encouraging longer storytelling sessions instead of just quick
dress-up. It’s a fantastic choice for any child who loves both
Barbie and outdoor pretend play—I can easily see this keeping her
entertained for months!

We took our daughter camping, and ever since then she would have
her dolls pretend they were camping by setting up a pretend tent
out of magnetic tiles. I thought this would be a great Barbie set
to get her, so she can have all the little accessories to go with
her other dolls. I think she liked the little dog and the bone
better than the doll itself out of the set, and the backpack
alone has made its way into daily play for her. I've found the
backpack on other small stuffed animals, and many princess dolls.
It's held up very well so far for being played with daily. It's a
very cute set, and the quality of the accessories was better than
I expected. My only issue was with the doll's hair, as it was
already tangled in the plastic, and it felt very rough for being
a brand new doll. There a permanent dent in her hair from how
tight the plastic was, and because her hair texture isn't very
smooth, it won't come out. That hasn't been my experience with
other Barbies in the past, but just this specific one. Aside from
that, I'd say with the pup and the little accessories, this set
is definitely fun and a good value for the money.
