Review: Big screen fun with no faff - Since buying the Kogata
GC357B a few weeks ago, our Friday film sessions have felt like
mini cinema trips at home. Although the projector's panel is only
1080p on paper, the MTK9660 chip manages to extract genuine
detail from 4K sources, and the small amount of AI colour work
keeps faces looking natural rather than plastic. Set-up took me
less time than boiling the kettle. The moment it was on the
shelf, the autofocus and six direction keystone straightened the
picture, which saved me the usual routine of wedging books under
one side and nudging the unit back and forth until the rectangle
looked respectable. All the important applications are
pre-installed, so I logged into Netflix, Prime Video and YouTube
without hunting for an update. Dolby Vision playback is handled
without a stutter, and the built-in speakers are surprisingly
full bodied; they fill our double bedroom nicely while still
allowing the neighbours to enjoy their evening. When we want
extra punch, Bluetooth 5.3 pairs with the soundbar first time,
every time. Wi-Fi 6 definitely earns its keep. Late on Saturday
night I streamed the Spurs match in high definition, and not a
single buffering circle appeared, which is more than I can say
for the old streaming stick we used before. Connectivity across
the board feels dependable, and the picture, once you dim the
lights, is crisp from edge to edge. Is it perfect? The remote
feels a touch lightweight, and the fan emits a low hum during the
quietest scenes, yet neither has been enough to spoil the
experience. For the asking price, the GC357B strikes me as a bit
of a bargain.
Review: A must buy for any gaming room / theatre - I am
absolutely blown away by the Kogata 4K Smart Projector! I was
looking to upgrade my home theater, and this device exceeded all
my expectations. The picture quality is phenomenal. The Full HD
1080p resolution is incredibly sharp and crisp, with vibrant
colors that truly pop, even with some ambient light. It genuinely
feels like I have a premium cinema screen in my living room. What
really sets this apart is how user-friendly it is. The smart
interface is intuitive and quick, and being officially Netflix
licensed is a massive plus. It's so refreshing to just open the
native app and stream without any workarounds. The setup was an
absolute breeze; I went from unboxing to watching movies in just
a few minutes. I was also thrilled with its gaming performance.
The low latency makes for a super responsive and immersive
experience, which is a huge bonus for any console gamers out
there. The fan is quiet enough when watching movies or gaming,
and the design is sleek and modern. If you're searching for a
versatile, high-quality projector that handles streaming and
gaming flawlessly, I can't recommend the Kogata enough. It’s a
complete game-changer.
