But somewhere out there, on the edge of a clearing, half hidden between the trees and bushes and covered by raising fog swaths, a figure in the semi dark of a crooked hut bent over an eerily glowing crystal ball. A murmuring voice sang age-old formulas with which she tried to move the luminous swaths inside the crystal ball to divide and unlock the view of the future. "Everything is in the flow, nothing appears for sure. Come, her whims of space and time, sharing the veil and showing us what is to come," the voice buzzed, while barely visible in the depths of the hood an eye faintly reflected the glow. Another shape, barely visible in the dim light, leaned further and listened hard. "The tides of time are unstet, gather into pools and form faults... but when the fogs split, only vague images can be seen through the veil. Pssst - doesn't come too close, you don't want to disturb my sensitive magical patterns, right?" The figure was still bent over the ball and scared the other back into the shadows with a hand movement. "Ah, now it seems to get a little clearer.
