Indie Boards and Cards The Magnus Protocol Mysteries: Blackout - Cooperative Deduction Horror Game

The Magnus Protocol Mysteries: Blackout is a deeply immersive cooperative deduction game that blends supernatural horror with interactive storytelling. Inspired by the world of the Magnus Protocol podcast, this unique experience invites players to step into the role of investigators tasked with uncovering the truth behind a chilling and mysterious case. Set across two timelines, the story weaves together eerie events from 1940 and a modern-day blackout in 2022. In the past, a boy finds himself trapped alone in the dark with only a broken camera. In the present, a citywide energy crisis forces strict blackout curfews, and a student vanishes without a trace from his apartment. As players sift through the evidence, the connection between these events begins to emerge. Gameplay centers around cooperative investigation, where players examine physical evidence, analyze photographs, and listen to audio recordings accessed through a companion website. Each piece of information provides valuable insight, but only by working together can players piece together the full story. The game features a structured progression system, where solving puzzles unlocks additional evidence and drives the narrative forward. Designed to deliver an atmospheric and engaging experience, Blackout captures the tension and intrigue of a true mystery while adding a supernatural twist. Its accessible format makes it suitable for both fans of the Magnus Protocol universe and newcomers alike. Perfect for game nights, escape room enthusiasts, and fans of horror storytelling, The Magnus Protocol Mysteries: Blackout offers a compelling blend of narrative depth, puzzle-solving, and collaborative gameplay. Every clue matters, every theory counts, and every decision brings you closer to uncovering the truth—or being consumed by the darkness.
