Review: Worth the extra money. The 5M mode produces excellent
pictures, day and night. - First purchased a £20 WiFi security
camera but it has very poor WiFi range not connecting even in the
doorway of the house. It had other issues too. One reviewer
suggested the ieGeek. I ordered the 5K battery version in black.
Wow what a difference - ok nearly 3 times the price. It arrived
the same day. Found it would work with our existing doorbell app
which is a bonus. WiFi range is excellent. One tip if you are
having range problems set the camera to SD resolution. By default
the white flood light comes on at dark when detecting someone.
Quickly found a disable which uses just the inffred LEDs. Our
router is dual band 2.4 / 5GHz but did not have to disable the
5GHz. Easy to pair. The camera is mounted next to a window and I
have run the USB cable through the window so when recharge is
needed I simply connect a USB battery to it. Two way sound is
clear. Love the siren mode. My only comment to improve it would
be to add a mounting screw thread insert at the TOP - currently
only one at the bottom. That would allow it to be ceiling mounted
in a porch or under the roof eves. Will be getting another for
the rear garden!
Review: Decent ish - A good quality camera. Battery not the best
even with a solar charger attached.
