It's clear and bright but the blacks are grey so the contrast isn't amazing. Still, it's great for the money. Audio: Get a sound bar. The treble and mids are clear and not scratchy. The bass doesn't exist, at all. Parental Controls: Simple to set up and effective. Entering your PIN once unlocks it for the session. Switching off the TV locks it again. Apps: The selection is fair, and relevant for the area. As for the part that surprised me: I put in a 256gb NTFS formatted USB stick and... it worked (TCL Android didn't recognise it). Not only that, but it supported most of the media (some .avi files didn't play). It also found and used the subtitle .srt files. So, if you want a basic TV with good parental controls and good support for external media, I wholly recommend this, just buy a sound bar.
