Review: Great for an office basement - Almost left 4 stars, but
Govee’s customer service is too good. I got these lights for my
office in the basement. Set up is fairly easy, even if it’s
probably more of a 2 person job if you don’t want to have your
legs wrapped in lights and trash. The adhesive is really strong,
haven’t had any issues at all. The lights themselves are
impressive. Whether it be a solid color, a fade setting,
blinking, etc. I haven’t seen it struggle with anything yet.
Also, the app lets you make your own light settings which is
cool. Has flawlessly worked with Alexa, but the remote has worked
nicely too. My office is maybe 15x12, and one box of 100ft lit up
the space really well. Only issue was that, while putting up the
first of the 2 strings, a section of the string turned green even
though the string wasn’t turned on. When I turned the string on,
that section stayed green. I reached out and sent a picture to
Govee, and they gave me some troubleshooting tips that I tried,
but unfortunately they didn’t work. To my surprise, Govee sent me
a completely new replacement set! Can’t beat customer service
like that.
