They are not for everyone. I like different and funky so I really like these. HS is my favorite. I layer this with their other one, has the word wood in it. They smell great together. While all cosmetics have science behind them, we don't usually see it playing a significant part of the inspiration. I'm not a fan of the bottle design. I usually like simple designs, but this made me think of prints people favored in the 80s. The cap confuses me a littl because it looks like a rock but the texture reminds me of all eraser. I wouldn't keep this out on display. Haunted Rose starts out intense. I could smell the roses as soon as I opened the box. Additionally, it smells like real roses, rather than being rose scented, if that makes sense. About an hour after application, the rose made way for the ambroxan to come through. By the fourth hour, the scent was only detectable if you sniffed my skin directly where it was applied, and it was just kind of generically sweet. I didn't give this five stars because I was disappointed by the way this scent came in with a bang and then faded quickly. Eau de parfumes typically last at least seven hours on me. The bottle is small for the price, which is unfortunate because I would have to reapply it in the middle of the day. Obviously, fragrances react differently with each person based on body chemistry. I learned that this company offers a discovery set, so if you're hesitant to make the investment on a blind buy, that may be a good option.
