Born in Grasse in 1949, he joined the Roure Bertrand Dupont perfumery school after studying science. According to his peers, he was seen as particularly gifted. In the mid-eighties, Edouard Flechier became the star perfumer at Roure where he created many of the famous compositions of that era.
