The mat is a more slick material, not super thick or padded but great for on carpet. You can easily assemble/disassemble it if you want to use parts separately. Our baby loves the archway too so that’s been great for tummy time and neck strength (makes baby look up). The dangling toys are also a great rubbery material for teething babies! The keyboard lights up and has songs or you can choose to play piano so baby can kick or press keys. So many things you can do with it. May is washable too. I highly recommend!
