Review: The Profile 3!! Great Value, Especially for the
Beginner!! - I think anyone who wants to podcast or game could
ever go wrong with the fifine Amplitank Profile 3 USB microphone.
It's robust metal build is like a battleship hull. It's strong,
sturdy, and made from professional studio grade materials. It
sounds amazing with lots of control features built right in.
Excellent microphone for those who don't wish to sink a ton of
money into additional hardware (ie. user interfaces, sound
mixers, or preamps). Just plug-n-play. Some of the cool features
you'll find are a blending mode for your monitor and microphone
volumes, a low-cut filter, quiet touch "mute" button, and
individual controls for the mic gain and headphone volume. All
this at a fantastic price. A great value, especially for the
beginner.
Review: Great Mic for the price - I have been using a headset
mic, and ear phones for a long time while playing games or
listening to music. I have noticed with some of the newer higher
graphic games, I get a bit nauseous. So I thought I'd change my
set up for the first time. I already had a desk top speaker
setup, all I needed was a good mic. I did a lot of research on
mics, wanted good quality without spending an arm and a leg.
So......I purchased this FIFINE mic, and glad I did. PROS: First
of all I didn't want a mic on a studio type boom. This mic sits
on my desktop within easy reach. The included usb-c cable gives
me great positioning options. It is fairly heavy, so it will not
get easily knocked over. The power on light is bright but not
distracting, and also acts a convenient mute button. Sound
quality is clear, and very accurate according to recipients. It
has a head phone jack at the bottom. CONS: The location of the
usb-c jack is located at the bottom of the mic. Unfortunately,
depending on the mic position it may make contact with the base
bracket. My concern is possible damaging of the usb-c jack or
cable. I'd say the better location for the usb-c jack would be to
the rear of the mic. The location of the head phone jack is in
the same location. So depending on how you position the mic, you
will need to loosen the bracket and ajust to allow clearance. No
deduction of stars for this. MY THOUGHTS: Overall, I am very
happy with the purchase. Aside from the position of the usb-c, it
works great. As you can see in the picture, I temp wired the mic
so the usb jack and head phone jack was clear of the bracket. The
adjustment knobs will probably hold its position, I just like a
little more overkill. Yes I would definitely recommend this mic
