We set it up during the day when it was quite light in the room and it still had impressive brightness. The built in speaker is surprisingly good quality, but we connected it to an external speaker to give it the cinematic feel. I was surprised at the versatility of the projector. It easily connects to my laptop, phone, and even my streaming stick through HDMI and Bluetooth. For the price that I paid this is a great deal.
