Review: Excellent value rotary polisher. - As an enthusiast of
rotary polishers, I find them superior in versatility compared to
DA polishers. The ease of switching backing plates and the
ability to utilize much smaller ones are commendable features. I
already have two mid-tier wired rotary polishers, but navigating
them around my tight garage can be a bit of a challenge. So, I
decided to invest in this cordless Einhell unit. Priced just
under £100, the value-for-money for such a high-quality tool is
impressive. Given a little patience, this device will suffice for
most users. Since I already possess various other Einhell tools
and several 4ah batteries, I chose to go for just the bare unit.
I preferred not to use the accompanying backing plate and pads
included in the package as they didn't seem suitable for this
polisher, according to my experience. I already have an array of
backing plates in sizes of 1.2”, 3” and 5” along with an
assortment of pads. I've found that the best combination for my
Audi is the Lake Country foamed wool for cutting, and I typically
finish off with Shinemate white waffle or Lake Country CSC Black
foam pads. I pair these with 3D One for cutting and polishing
using the relevant pad. Even with paint more robust than my
Audi's, this compact Einhell polisher has proven its capacity
when paired with the correct compound/pad. The tool is
sufficiently powerful to undertake heavy-duty tasks. Instead of
applying pressure to cut, it's more effective to manipulate the
rotation speed and allow the polisher to do its job. Lifting the
polisher slightly off the panel enhances control. The polisher
has only a few minor drawbacks. One is the absence of a
slow-start feature, which means the motor quickly accelerates to
500RPM as soon as the button is pressed. Also, while I find the
digital speed controls of 500, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, and
3000 rpm convenient, some users may have a preference for
analogue speed control. However, these minor issues aside, I
would strongly recommend this polisher to any enthusiasts and
dedicated DIY practitioners.
Review: Game changing - Great hand held polisher, the variable
speed limit was the winning factor and cordless makes polishing
the car so much easier mo wires or anything.
