To complete the setup, I hoped to be able to make the set restart on the same channel that was playing when it was last switched off, but instead it opened a screen full of smart features, a swamp from which a partially-sighted user might never escape. However, Cello tech support responded to an email from me in no time at all with details of exactly how to do what I wanted. There is a restart option, but it is buried deep in the multi-level menu system and I'd failed to recognise it. One smart feature which promises to be useful is the synthesised voice which speaks the name of each channel as you select it, plus the title of the current programme. It gabbles them at an unnaturally high speed (unless there's another menu setting for changing that) but I think one could get used to it.
