I use different tools and products now to maintain my hair's health. It has gotten better, but I still need to have volume so one of the main ways I achieve this is through curling irons. I think that curling irons are good, but I wanted to try this one to see if it is better when it comes to protecting my skin from the heat. MY EXPERIENCE WITH THE PRODUCT 1. I received a corded automatic rotating curling iron. This is not cordless, but the cord is pretty long. 2. I like the weight. It does not feel like it is a cheap product. It feels pretty sturdy. 3. I appreciate the instruction manual. It is pretty thick, but it is for different languages. The curling iron itself is very easy to operate, and it only has 2 buttons. 4. I usually use a light hold gel with heat protectant whenever I use my regular curling iron and this is what I did with this automatic one. 5. I like the 4 different modes, which are basically how hot the curling iron gets. I used this a few times in mode 3, but mode 2 is good enough for me. 6. I like that I can select how many seconds the curling iron spins. Also, it can spin left and right which I find to be convenient. 7. At first, I thought that I would need longer than the longest setting but 15 seconds is enough since I section my hair pretty thinly, and I have fine thin hair to begin with so it does not take me that long. Also, it says 25 minutes. I do not feel like I spend that much time using this, but I am not working with nicely textured and thick hair. 8. I like the curls. I do not feel that they are too tight. I think the barrel size is very good. 9. I have not tried this without the gel so I am not sure how long the curls stay with just dry hair. I find that the gel with heat protectant gives it a nice hold without being crunchy. Also, my hair is color-treated and it is fine with this curler. 10. I think it does a good job with frizz, but I do not have frizz issues until the summer. OVERALL IMPRESSION: I think that this automatic curling iron is cost-effective and worth its value especially for those whose hair situation is like mine. I am able to create volume so that my hair does not look thin and dull.
